Record Black Type Season For Peters Investments

Perth's celebrated owner-breeders Bob and Sandra Peters capped an astonishing season when they won three races at Belmont in Perth on Saturday.

Their treble included wins in the Listed Belmont Oaks with Mystery Miss and Listed Aquanita Stakes with True Attraction, giving the Peters team a WA record 27 black type wins this season including two of Perth's three Group One races.

"It's what we aim for," said Bob Peters. "It's what our business is all about and we've just made it harder for ourselves to beat it next year."

Peters Investments bred nearly all of their stakes winners placing them second behind Godolphin/Darley as Australia's leading black type breeders this season.

Mystery Miss and True Attraction are trained by Grant and Alana Williams. The couple have prepared 20 of the Peters-owned black type wins this season.

MYSTERY MISS (Animal Kingdom x Mystical Miss by More Than Ready) took her record to five wins from eight starts with her third stakes success on Saturday.

Her dam Mystical Miss is a daughter of VRC Oaks winner Magical Miss (Danehill) and could give her owners 28 balck type for the season at her next start in the Belmont Classic on July 20.

TRUE ATTRACTION (More Than Ready x Significant by Flying Spur) is full brother to the stakes winner State Prosecutor and became the 195th stakes winner by his renowned sire.

His dam Significant is a half sister to G2 winner Crown Prosecutor (Grand Lodge), one of eight Perth Cup winners raced by the Peters.

True Attraction has had 10 starts for four wins and four placings and is set to clash with Mysrey Miss in the Belmont Classic.

The third Belmont winner for the Peters team on Saturday was the unbeaten BATTLE STORM , a son of Statue Of Liberty from the family of G1 winner M'Lady's Jewel.
