3 minute read

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Wednesday’s meeting at Randwick.

Soviet (Race 1) could be worth an each way ticket at $5, which is three points shorter than his opening quote. The Waterhouse-Bott trained son of Stratum is on debut after winning a recent trial at Kembla.

I Thought So (Race 3) has taken over as favourite at $3.10 – almost five points shorter than his opening quote. He was beaten 5L at his only run but sent straight to the paddock, he looks to have come back better after winning two recent trials at Warwick Farm.

Zaunkonig (Race 6) has been the best backed in a race of a few movers, firming mmore than a point to $3.20. He is suited back to the midweeks having won his only start at that level this campaign, his three recent efforts in Saturday company resulting in top four finishes.

Sizzling Bullet (Race 7) is a well-supported favourite at $2.60, which is more than a dollar shorter than his first price. He shows promise winning two of four starts including the latest at this course and should be at peak fitness third up.
