Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Wednesday’s meeting at Warwick Farm.
Almanzora (Race 1) has taken over as the favourite at $2.30 after firming more than a point in early betting. The Teofilo colt is on debut for Godolphin after two recent trials, winning the latest at Rosehill by a length.
Tamarack (Race 4) opened as the second favourite but has ttaken a grip on the market at $2.30, more than two points shorter than his opening quote. The lightly-raced three-year-old was a big Beaumont winner last start and the punters are banking on him continuing that progress.Valiant Mate (Race 6) has more than halved his opening quote to $4.20 and at that price is the second pick in the market. He has been racing consistently including a recent Hawkesbury win and has placed at all three previous runs at this course.
