Explosive Witness (Race 1) opened as an equal favourite but now stands alone at the head of the market at $2.40 having firmed more than a point. The Star Witness two-year-old debuts for Greg Eurell off a close third in a recent trial and the market push must be respected.

Wangaala (Race 4) is now well into the red at $1.70 having firmed close to a dollar since betting commenced. The filly bolted in by 5.5L in a maiden last time and while she takes a step up in grade looks hard to beat again off that effort.

Ruthven (Race 7) opened at each way odds but is now second pick in the market at $3.30 after tightening more than two points. He missed by a nose at Pakenham last time so should be peaking third up and showed his ability when a nose second in the Sandown Guineas last spring.

Exocet (Race 8) has taken over at the head of the market at $4 after shortening a point-and-a-half. She resumes after showing good promise last campaign, winning two in a row and running fourth in a Group 2.
