Reacher (Race 1) has been a good go in the opener, firming almost nine points to $4.20 and at that quote is now second pick in the market. The lightly-raced gelding has placed at both of his starts and the market push suggests he could be ready to break through.

Creativity (Race 2) has been heavily backed since markets opened and is now into the red at $1.70, about a point-and-half shorter than her opening quote. The lightly-raced filly broke her maiden when resuming and the punters are expecting her to take another step forward up to city company.

Pop Queen (Race 3) is a warm favourite at $3.60, a point shorter than her opening quote. The consistent mare has never finished worse than fourth in eight starts and can improve on her resuming second.

Gold Blush (Race 4) is another to have been backed into an odds on quote at $1.95, which is 60 cents shorter than her initial quote. The mare is showing good promise winning both of her starts and there is confidence she can successfully make the step up to city grade.

Motown Lil (Race 6) opened as a joint favourite but now stands clearly alone at the head of the market at $3.30 after tightening more than a point. She drops in grade from a stakes race last start and should be ready to fire third up.

Goodwill (Race 7) has firmed just over a point and is a warm favourite at $2.35 with TopBetta fixed odds. The lightly-raced stayer is making good progression and looks well-placed on the quick back-up after running third at Flemington on Saturday.
