Some good races on the Perth card this week but one of the most interesting runners could be a resuming 3yo.
Amelia's On Fire kicks off over the 1000m straight into a 1MW open race.
First up with a very light weight today, she last ran in the Karrakatta Plate and was run down in the last 100m there.
You'd expect she would be right on the pace at the short course and wanting to scamper with nothing on her back.
The stable can often produce them early on readying for the Summer carnival.
Reckoning in the following race that Jedaffair is another horse off a spell that can run a big race.
This mare got all the way to the WA Oaks having won the Natasha Stakes the run before.
Off two trials, she should have a decent enough fitness base to keep her in touch over the 1300m.
William Pike is now up and from a nice draw, we're confident she only needs to be close enough on the corner to take holding out.
