On what is the morning of the final day of spring racing at the Rowley Mile before the focus switches to the July Course, three Godolphin fillies will work over seven furlongs, headed by the three-time Group 1 winner Wild Illusion.

The daughter of Dubawi enjoyed an excellent 2018 campaign as a three-year-old, finishing second in the Investec Oaks before winning the Group 1 Nassau Stakes at Goodwood and the Group 1 Prix de l’Opera at Longchamp. She was narrowly denied an elite-level hat-trick when beaten a neck in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf.

Wild Illusion will be joined in her work by another top-level scorer in La Pelosa, who is now three years old. As a juvenile, she travelled to Woodbine in Canada and took out the Natalma Stakes, one of a host of worldwide Group/Grade 1 successes during 2018 for Charlie Appleby.

Completing the morning’s trio is Dathanna, another daughter of Darley’s kingpin, Dubawi. Off the track since the Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot last June, the four-year-old was a Conditions Race scorer at the same venue last spring.

The final day of spring racing at the Rowley Mile is a seven-race card commencing with its three feature events, which will all be televised live on ITV Racing. They are the Listed £40,000 Betway Fairway Stakes at 2.05pm, the Listed £40,000 Betway King Charles II Stakes at 2.40pm and the £50,000 Betway Handicap at 3.15pm.
