Funny Kid  is set to have a third warm-up race ahead of the All-Weather Championships Finals Day at Lingfield on Good Friday.

After finishing second twice in the UK, the French-trained seven-year-old will stay nearer home for his sharpener over a mile and a half at Chantilly.

Funny Kid has run in two fast-track qualifiers, finishing second to Raymond Tusk at Newcastle and to Rainbow Dreamer at Wolverhmapton.

A third outing of the all-weather campaign will ensure Christophe Ferland's entire will be qualified for the Marathon, which he won in 2018.

"He's come out of the race well. He came back home nicely," said Ferland.

"He's going to run at Chantilly at the end of the month to prepare for Finals Day in Lingfield.

"It will be his third run on the Polytrack so he will be qualified.

"He was unlucky last time."
