Ascot win ends barren run for gelding.
Charlie Fellowes praised his team after Jeremiah gained his first win in almost two years at Ascot on Sunday.
Having missed last season through injury, the talented but fragile gelding got his career back on track when surviving a stewards' inquiry to claim the Betfred "Fred's Pushes" Handicap.
The 8-1 chance was forced to pull out all the stops by eventual runner-up Sam Cooke during the closing stages of the mile-and-a-half prize before prevailing by a nose.
The Newmarket handler, speaking from York, said: "I can't underestimate the performance from the team to get this horse's head back in front.
"Not only did he have a horrible injury two years ago, but he is not the most straightforward horse to train as he is very quirky, so it is unbelievable to get his head back in front.
"Jim (Crowley) gave him a lovely ride and was very confident on him. He has lots of ability but he really is quirky.
"I'm definitely not ruling out the Ebor as you can't rule out a race like that. I will speak to Jim and see what he thinks about stepping up in trip."
Twenty four hours after Enable's unprecedented third King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes win, champion trainer John Gosden was on hand to see Tenbury Wells (15-8) get up almost on the line to claim the Betfred Mobile Handicap by a neck.
Gosden said: "I would have thought a mile and a quarter is where he belongs. It is not an easy draw on the outside here and he was back a long way.
"We will see where he progresses from here, but I don't think we will do anything too dramatic at the moment."
A word in the ear of the handicapper from Stuart Williams appeared to have the desired effect on Tone The Barone, who defeated stablemate Equitation by a length in the Play Nifty Fifty Exclusively At Betfred Handicap.
Williams said of the 18-1 winner: "I've been moaning like mad at the handicapper for putting his mark up 19lb for winning three fairly ordinary all-weather races.
"After getting beat here two weeks ago, he split the marks and gave him 4lb lower on the turf than all-weather. He has been a very good money spinner for the yard."
Tom Marquand won his fifth race aboard Rose Hip (2-1) when holding Ishvara at bay by a head in the betfred.com Fillies' Handicap.
The winning rider said: "I was pretty lucky on her last year as I got on her on all the right days.
"I think the Ascot five might be a touch stiff for her. In that grade, there was nothing that could take me far enough and I was forced to commit at the furlong pole.
"I'd be very surprised if she didn't step up another grade again."
Clive Cox enjoyed a change of luck as River Nymph (16-1) bounced back to form when running out a two-length winner of the Betfred Supports Jack Berry House Handicap.
Cox said: "He didn't handle the track at Newmarket last time. He is such a reliable work horse and I'm delighted to get his confidence back there."
