The Alan King-trained nine-year-old has now won seven of his 14 starts on the All-Weather and was taking this extended two-mile contest for a second time following his victory in 2020.

Stable-mate Coeur De Lion led the field, with Rainbow Dreamer  positioned in second under Hollie Doyle while Clap Your Hands and Earlofthecotswolds brought up the rear.

The order remained unchanged until Rainbow Dreamer moved alongside Coeur De Lion approaching the final three furlongs and the 1/3 favourite soon had his three rivals under pressure.

Earlofthecotswolds ran a great race on his Flat debut and briefly looked a threat in the straight, but Rainbow Dreamer ran on strongly to score by a length and a half. Clap Your Hands was four and a half lengths further back in third.

Doyle, enjoying her fifth success on the winner, said: "Rainbow Dreamer is definitely up there with my favourite horses.

"I have been riding him since I was a 5lb claimer. I remember riding him to win around Southwell and he has come on leaps and bounds since then.

"He jumped well, settled well, and the further I was going the better. I thought it was the best he has ever travelled and then he quickened up nicely.

"The pace wasn't too generous, but he got into a nice rhythm from a fair way out, which is what he needs.

"For a horse that stays this far, he actually has a few gears, which is what you want for the All-Weather."
