French racing starts the summer season in Chantilly with the running of the Jockey Club or French Derby.
There is another Deep Impact running here Study of Man. He's on 4/1 with Stephane Pasquier riding for Pascal Bary.
Favourite is the talented Olmedo on 3/1 for J-C Rouget and Cristian Demuro. Godolphin is raiding here with Key of Victory 9/2 for Appleby-Buick and the Irish raid with Rostropovich for Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore.
Earlier there is a lot of good racing starting off with the G2 Prix de Sandringham G2 over 1600m for the 3yo fillies. Roger Varian is sending Altyn Orda who is favoured on 3/1, Elithea is on 10/3 and Freddy Head's Efaadah on 7/2.
The Prix Gros-Chêne is G2 for 3yo+ over 1000m and has a field of 9. Pascal Bary's Gold Vibe has been gelded and it will be interesting to see if that helps him to do better than his four previous second, He's 3/1 with Son Cesio on 4/1 and Amomentofmadness 9/2 for Charlie Hills and William Buick.
The Grand Prix de Chantilly G2 is for 4yo+ and over 2400m. Godlphin's Cloth of Stars is on 15/8, Waldgeist 5/2, Rare Rhythm for Godolphin's English stables of Charlie Appleby with William Buick riding and we have a rouighie here in DSschingis Secret on 14/1.
