Now riding for the JRA in Japan having passed the exam and winning a big race in Korea, Fuji rode a 75/1 winner!
On Saturday the Laurel Sho at Nakayama saw Frontier Queen burst from the pack to take the win by a nose from Uranus Charm and another nose to Affilato in a thriller. Favourite Normoore was only. 7th and Mikki Charm finished at the back of the field - not sure what happened there as they don't show that end of the race on the replay.
Sunday sees the Hochi Hai Fillies Review over 1400m at Hanshin for the 3yo fillies. The Just A Way filly A Will A Way looks good here and is on 3.5 with Coeur et Sakura by Manhattan Cafe on 7.0, Ho O Catherine who we like a lot on 7.7, and Juranville on 8.4 is by the Aussie-bred Kinshasa No Kiseki.
The Kinko Sho will be run at Chukyo over 2000m and there are several well known-names on the list here. Yutaka Take has opted to ride Air Windsor instead of Lys Gracieux - the former is on 2.7 and the latter on 7.3, with Andrasch Starke riding. Danon Premium is on 3.9 and Al Ain on 8.2.
