The Deauville season is getting into full swing at the August mid point.
The Prix Calvados is G2 for the 2yo fillies down the straight 1400m. Very sad that there are only four competing and it should be no contest for Andre Fabre's Tropbeau, already a course and distance winner, who is on 11/8.
The Prix Daphnis is G3 for the 3yos over the round 1600m. There's 7 runners here which is a bit better and it looks likely to be between Delaware on 11/4 for Fabre-Cheminaud and Dave (what an excellent name) who is trained by Pia Brandt and will be ridden by Maxim Guyon and they are on 3/1.
The Prix de la Nonette is G2 over 2000m on the round course and has 8 3yo fillies lining up.
We like Suphula here who is going for her third successive win and is on 11/4 with Mutamakino on 6/1 and Godolphin raid with Divine Image, 6/1 for Charlie Appleby and William Buick.
