Not too many surprises in North America this weekend

3 minute read

The fields were not very big and in most cases the top horses were the ones who enhanced their CVs.

At Belmont the Sands Point went to the well-named New And Improved, with Feel Glorious second and Romantic Pursuit third.

At Keeneland the QE II Championship unfortunately was not going to the owner for whom the race is named as Her Majesty's Magnetic Charm finished last.  The win went to the favourite Cambier Parc with Castle Lady second.

At Woodbine the E P Taylor saw Starship Jubilee wave the flag for the home team, defeating the German runner Durance and the French Plantine, with the English Imperial Charm fourth.

The Pattison Canadian International saw last year's winner Desert Encounter return and repeat the win.  French runner Ziyad was third.
