Sunday's Sha Tin races were all on the AWT with the main race being the Class 2 Kwangtung Handicap over 1650m.
Ridden by Joao Moreira, Tony Millard's Elusive City showed a mastery of the surface winning by 1 ¾ lengths from Buddies and Turin Redstar. Raging Blitzkreig was fourth.
Millard said that he would now have to look for overseas targets as there were not many opportunities for good dirt performers in Hong Kong.
