Muito Obrigado was returning from his summer holidays and showed he was happy to be back racing by winning the Copa Republica Argentina at Fuchu on Sunday.
He stayed strong through the finish and won by a margin of 1 ¼ lengths from Taisei Trail with favourite African Gold third, and Look Twice fourth.
No luck with Mer de Glace in the Melbourne Cup as he was only able to finish sixth although that still meant $160,000 which should buy him a few carrots.
