The Gr 2 Chase is named in honour of one of our most favourite horses of all time.
Silviniaco Conti was such a gutsy horse and it seemed like our cheers even from this distance inspired him to greater deeds. This race named for him is going to be a fascinating contest - almostt a match race - between To Notch from the Henderson yard with Darryl Jacob riding and Frodon from the Nicholls yard with Bryony Frost in the irons.
The first impression is that To Notch who is odds-on should be able to do this but Frodon could be coming back into top form - he's won here before and of course won last year's Ryan Air. We are thinking to go with him hoping he'll be inspired by the race's honouree.
