The San Felipe is Gr 2 over 1700m for the 3yos with 50 Kentucky Derby Points available for the winner. Gift Box won this in 2019 and his trainer John Sadler is going for a third consecutive win so 6/5 is the quote. Midcourt is a serious challenger on 2/1 and Godolphin's Endorsed is 6/1 for Kieran McLaughlin who has announced his forthcoming retirement.
At Tampa Bay Downs the Hillsborough Gr 2 over 1800m turf is for f&m 4y+ and 12 go to post with Canadian champ Starship Jubilee on 2/1 and Chad Brown's group of Magic Star 44/1, Beautiful Lover 6/1 and the French-bred daughter of Siyouni Altea on 8/1. An interesting runner here is the Peruvian bred Juliana, a daughter of Scat Daddy. She's 15/1 in the morning line which is e/w value.
The Florida Oaks is Gr 3 and has 12 starters with the unbeaten New York Groove on 7/2, Walk In Marrakesh 3/1 and Micheline 5/1 in a pretty open race.
The Tampa Bay Derby also gives Kentucky Derby Points is GR 2 over 1700, with 12 runners. Sole Volante is 2/1, Chance It 5/2 and Spa City 10/1.
