Two G2s in Japan this Sunday.

3 minute read

With jockeys no longer able to travel between the training centre regions, most of the international jockeys are staying north.

That means they are riding at Tokyo today in the Oaks Trial, the Sankei Sports Sho Flora Stakes.

There's an interesting group of 3yo fillies here but the top rated Sky Groove looks special.  She's by Epiphaneia who's products are having very good results and will be ridden by Christophe Lemaire and is on top in the market on 2.1.

Nest best seems to be between Red le Reve and Ho O Peaceful around the 5.5 mark and then Juana who has come in overnight and now on 11.3 and Win Marylin around that figure as well.

At Kyoto the Yomiuri Milers' Cup has 12 runners and there is an Aussie-bred here – Fiano Romano by Fastnet Rock – he's not the worst on 5.0 with the favourite here being Indy Champ on 2.2 followed by Vin de Garde on 4.7.  Red Veyron is on 7.0.

Saturday's G3 Fukushima Himba went to Fairy Polka on Liebfraumilch on 84.5 and Randonnee on 114.3 which made for a very healthy trifecta.
