Godolphin's Victor Ludorum continues to impress as he gained a good win in the Poule d'Essai des Poulins at Deauville on Sunday.
In the hands of Andre Fabre he has been progressing nicely and was given a top ride by Mikael Barzalona who was happy to settle at the rear and just bowl along until 300 out when he shook the horse up and off they went. He's a nice looking colt by Shamardal.
The Summit was a good run in second and third went to another Fabre pupil Alson.
The Pouliches gave trainer Fédéric Rossi his first G1 when Dream And Do did and got the win over Speak Of The Devil 18/1 and Megeva 43/1, both from Fabrice Chappet's yard.
Favourite Tropbeau was a head away 4th and the others all had their chances but the straight mile can sort them out. The winner, by Siyouni, has a nice turn of foot but Rossi is not planning to take her to the Oaks as he thinks the 1600m is as far as she wants.
