It's a big day at Santa Anita with their Derby, Oaks and the Holywood Gold Cup all on the card.
The Oaks has got a very disappointing field with only 4 starters with Swiss Skydiver 11/10 for Kenny McPeek with Mike Smith riding. Not really a betting race.
There's a bit more competition in the Derby as that has a field of 7. Baffert's Authentic is on 11/10, Honor AP on 6/4 and then it's out to 12/1 for Anneau d'Or.
The Holywood Gold Cup is over 2000m and has 6 runners headed by Highland Power on 9/4 with Improbable and Midcourt renewing rivalry and the morning line has them both on 5/2.
Racing returns to Belmont and the Fort Macey is Gr 2 over 1800m on the turf. Instilled Regard is on top for Chad Brown and Irad Ortiz on 7/2. Synchrony is on 4/1 and Social Paranoia 9/2 in what looks an open race.
The Carter Handicap is Gr 1 over 1400m has 11 runners with McGaughey's Performer on 3/1 with Joel Rosario riding. Firenze Fire and Vekoma are both on 7/2 and Mind Control is 4/1.
