Now what?

The Egret Handicap on Sunday on the AWT was supposed to be for horses planning to go overseas.

King's Shield and Glorious Artist are supposed to go to Dubai holding entries to the Godolphin Mile G2 but their performance on Sunday doesn't augur well for this.

The winner Elusive State could head for the Saudi Cup but that would require a supplementary entry fee of $200,000 or he could go to Dubai and trainer Tony Millard says if that is the case he would prefer the Dubai World Cup rather than the Godolphin Mile.

The 1000m Cl 2 sprint saw a tight battle between Beauty Applause who emerged the winner and the favourite Wellington.  Larsound took the third money ahead of Multimillion.

Best news of the day was Antoine Hamelin's 5-timer, the first time in his career that he has done that.  He's an excellent horseman and well deserves this success.
