Monday at Longchamp Domenic Smaga returned to the G1 trainer ranks after a bit of an absence.
His Incarville was too strong in the feature with the daughter of Wootton Basset getting a top ride from Soumillon in a very tight finish with only a head and a head – belonging to Cirona 14/1 and Es La Vida 22/1 – the margins for the first three.
The Prix Hocquart went to Mikael Delzangles trained Bubble Gift with the son of Nathaniel in the hands of Mosse. Gregolimo was only a neck away in second and Lombo took the third spot. The winner is entered for the Grand Prix de Paris and the Arc.
The Prix Vicomtesse Vigier saw favourite Skazino win from Valia and The Grand Vizir.
