The Tulip Sho for the girls at Hanshin finished in a dead heat first for favourite Meikei Yell and challenger Elizabeth Tower. Next over the line was Stutti and Tagano Diana after her.

The boys went round in the wonderfully named Hochi Hai Yayoi Sho Deep Impact Kinen and the top three in the market filled the top three posts with Titleholder getting the verdict ahead of Schnell Meister who wasn't quite as schnell (German for quick) and odds-on favourite Danon The Kid a neck away in third.

The Ocean Sho was run at Nakayama on Saturday and that provided some upsets!  The winner was Contra Check on 32/1 by a nose from Curren Moe who had started favourite with Bien Fait on 14/1 taking third.
