Another upset in Hong Kong

3 minute read

This time it was at Happy Valley in the Hip Wo Handicap Class 2.

GRATEFUL HEART. Picture: HKJC

This was the feature and before the race all the talk had been about Nervous Witness but although he it talented we are not convinced that he's got his head in the right place.  He was edgy and sweating up before the start.

So the story of the day is that the winner was Grateful Heart who had started on 83.0 to give Harry Bentley and Danny Shum the win.  This was the second of the horses that Luke Currie had been booked for to win – a very tough day for Luke.  Voyage Warrior took the second money and Nervous Witness ran third.

Zac Purton rode a 5-timer as Joao Moriera started a 6 week suspension.
