Nakayama Kinen

3 minute read

Sunday's G2 over 1800m was another win for Yahagi-sensei.

The trainer was in Saudi Arabia where his horse Stay Foolish won the Red Sea Turf Handicap.

At Nakayama Panthalassa obviously wanted to please his boss and won the race by 2 ½ lengths comfortably.  Jockey Yutaka Yoshida had him well clear of the rest of the field as they came into the straight and none of the others could catch him.

Karate tried hard but the uphill finish was against him and the same for third home Admire Hadar.

Now we await seeing what the Japanese contingent will be in Dubai.
