Queen Mother Memorial Cup G3 at Sha Tin

Where it was on the slightly soggy side with the track rated good to yielding.

It would have been something to write about if Seno Tobas had not won but he did and by two lengths under a confident ride from Joao Moreira.  Butterfield was 2 lengths away in second in what was virtually a match race since there were only 5 runners.

Now in Hong Kong the 6th placed horse generally gets 2% of the prize money and since in this race that is 2% of HK$ 3,500,000 that would keep a horse in oats for a few weeks so why didn't some other trainer emulate Tony Millard who sent out Above with the view that even finishing 5th would be a worthwhile exercise!
