ZAKYNTHOS IMPRINTZ (Chris Waller) - Rising 5yo has already won 4 of his 13 starts and put the writing on the wall for another success with his unlucky third at Rosehill last Saturday when he endured a wide run but still found the line in great style. Has now raced twice after his latest spell and will be well placed in coming weeks in winter class events.

Jason Hickson

MR MAKE BELIEVE (Peter Moody) - Very honest galloper racing in top form. Just strides to the front, settles, then kicks strongly and that's worked well for him so far, with six wins form 10 starts. Way too good last time at Sandown so steps up a notch now but looks an ideal type to follow over the winter. May not get a run this week so follow up elsewhere.

'Aspro'

CONFIGURATION (Mick Price) - 3yo son of Anabaa who did a fine job in scoring on debut at Bendigo last week. Will be far better for the experience and on breeding alone should at least get to a mile. He cost a decent amount at the sales ($145K) so obviously has some look and scope and Price is one of the best placers/assessors of horses in the business.

Alex Steedman

CITY OF LIGHT (Gai Waterhouse) - Juvenile who has pleased in his short time at the stable. City Of Light ran second at his first public appearance at the Randwick barrier trials on 20 June over 1058m. The Fastnet Rock gelding will likely have one more trial before making his race debut next month. Strong early performances may result in the Star Thoroughbreds raced 2yo following a similar campaign to stable mate Squamosa as it embarks on the G1 Golden Rose in September.

Wayne Bristow

UPBEAT (Anthony Cummings) - After a massive win at Kyneton went to town for a city race at Moonee Valley. Was shuffled back to near last on the bend and had a concerted wall in front of him with 200m to go. When eventually out at the 100m, flashed late to finish second behind the impressive Secret Hills and to some extent should have won. Should win a Saturday race in time.
