Taikomochi to lead them with Toorak Affair prominent. TAIKOMOCHI (2) led and boxed on well for fourth in the Hobart Cup and meets the winner Toorak Affair 2kg better. Had led throughout to win the Australia Day Cup in Sydney two back and the Waterhouse-Bott runners are never easy to get past. He could go all the way.
TOORAK AFFAIR (4) is flying. Her Hobart Cup success was her third win in a row and it came at her first attempt at this distance. Does have to overcome the weight swing but is going well enough to do it. SHADY HUSTLE (12) is very consistent and kept coming when runner up in the Hobart Cup. Look for her to be strong at the end again.
HOME BY MIDNIGHT (1) passed a few when midfield in the Hobart Cup and his previous Melbourne form was sound. Worth another chance. DOGMATIC (7) has each way claims.
