Racing And Sports highlights some key statistics for horses, jockeys and trainers at Australia’s race meetings on Tuesday.

Darren Gauci has some good hopes at Pakenham today. Picture: Racing and Sports

Darren Gauci – Pakenham

Jockey Darren Gauci continues a couple of successful trainer associations at Geelong today, none more so than with Team Hawkes. Gauci has had four rides for the family stable over the past 12 months and has won them all. They have a good chance of keeping the run going with Comadi, a hot favourite in Race 4. Gauci has also won two and placed at two of six rides for new trainer Matt Cumani and goes aboard Osteria in Race 8. Gauci’s final ride for the day is aboard Beau Padrille in Race 10.

Linda Meech and Peter Morgan/Craig Widdison – Pakenham

Jockey Linda Meech and the training duo of Peter Morgan and Craig Widdison combine with a couple of roughies at Pakenham today but their record together and statistics at the course suggest both are worth an each way play at odds. Meech and Morgan/Widdison have a winning strike rate of 28 per cent and have placed with half of their last 50 runners. Separately they each have good records at the Pakenham course, Morgan/Widdison winning with 43 per cent of their runners here and placing with 71 per cent while Meech has a 20 per cent winning strike rate. They combine with Holy Host in Race 5 and Parmalove in Race 7.
