Last year’s winner Rock Royalty and 2014 victor Big Money line up in a full field of 16 plus four emergencies for the 2016 Ramornie Handicap (1200m).

Big Money carries the topweight of 59kg for trainer Rodney Northam and jockey Robert Thompson, who was aboard when he won the Ramornie Handicap in 2014.

Since then Big Money has won two Group 3 events and Listed race and his last two outings have been at Group 1 level, finishing sixth in the Goodwood and 12th in the Stradbroke Handicap.

Rock Royalty carries the minimum 54kg and hasn’t run a place since his Ramornie win last year.

Other key acceptors in the 2016 Ramornie Handicap include last start Group 3 winner Into The Red, former Hong Kong galloper Smart Volatility and last start Sydney winner Mount Nebo.

Trainer John O’Shea has a pair of runners in the 2016 Ramornie Handicap in Barbed and Mogador while Gai Waterhouse has accepted with Echo Gal and Clarry Conners has veteran sprinter Decision Time engaged.
