Yulong Xingsheng wins 2017 Twilight Glow Stakes Listed $120,000 at Sandown-Hillside (VIC), 1400m.
Stakes placed two starts back, Yulong Xingsheng broke through for her maiden stakes win fairly decisively. She settled midfield early (barrier 11) and although wide, jockey Kerrin McEvoy pressed forward at the 800m to be in behind the leading group.
Into the straight, McEvoy went wider to challenge and allowing the filly to balance, shook her up at the 300m, went up to the leaders, took over soon after and was too strong to the line having three quarters of a length to spare.
So Far Sokool was in behind the leaders before straightening but didn't find racing room until the 300m, ranged up to co-lead but could not match the winner, holding on quite well for second.
Lady Of Crebilly was last turning in, pulled widest into the straight and kept up a solid run to the line for third.
