Dark Eyes and Segenhoe should contest the early lead. CARZOFF is a deserving favourite after winning the traditional lead-up last start in the Wyong Cup. Sat at the back peeling wide to unleash a strong final sprint to claim victory over a few key rivals who meet again. Suggested the 2300m wouldn't be an issue and unlike many of these greets the race in peak winning form.
GOATHLAND showed tremendous improvement when second-up off nearly a year. Brave right to the end when rising up from the 1400m to finish a length off them. Gets a nice weight drop today and should be ready to show best. DARK EYES must have a case off his last start. Bigger track will suit him and Clark will rate him well.
