The Alan Bell-owned Graff is trained by Kris Lees and will be having only his sixth career start in the world’s richest turf race.

He won his first three starts before placings in Run to the Rose (1200m) and the G1 Golden Rose (1400m) at his last two starts. All his races have been against his own age group.

There is still one Everest slot be filled after the ATC nominated Nature Strip was withdrawn after failing in the Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

The ATC is considering several horses including Moir Stakes winner Viddora, Le Romain, Home Of The Brave and Houtzen as Nature Strip’s replacement

Graff will carry 53kg under the wfa conditions of the Everest and will be the first three-year-old colt or gelding to contest the race.

The 3YO fillies Tulip (fifth), Houtzen (seventh) and She Will Reign (11th) contested the inaugural Everest last year.
