2019 FRED BEST CLASSIC – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Multiple sources of speed and the big field is sure to create pressure. VEGA ONE (6) was very impressive when streaking away to win the G3 Queensland Day Stakes by 3.3L last start, his second win from his past three runs. The penny has dropped with him now and any further progression sees him hard to beat.
MILITARY ZONE (2) chased hard when runner up in the Scone Guineas last start after a win in the G3 Hawkesbury Guineas. They look good lead-in races to this and he is at peak fitness now. ZOUTORI (4) is flying this campaign winning all three starts in Victoria. Can measure up to stakes level.
VIGOR WINNER (9) is a lightly-raced but progressive Kiwi who was a G3 winner last outing. He can take the next step. POHUTUKAWA (14) is a smart filly who should be hitting the line well.
