Hawkshot, trained by Darren Weir before joining the Lindsay Park stable, is to join the John Size stable while last start Gold Copast Group winer Stronger is going to the John Moore team.

Hawkshot, by Melbourne Cup winer Fiorente, won the G2 Autumn Stakes at Caulfield in February and was last seen finishing second behind star filly Mystic Journey in the G1 Australian Guineas at Flemington.

George Moore, the bloodstock agent son of John Moore, negotiated the purchases of Hawkshot and Stronger for Hong Kong clients.

“Hawkshot looks the perfect horse for the 4YO series and will be a serious Hong Kong Derby prospect,” Moore said.

Lindsay Park trainer David Hayes said he was disappointed to lose Hawkshot top Hong Kong.

“The stable thought he could be our top rated horse this spring,” Hayes said. “Obviously they made a really good offer and had to sell."

Stronger, by Not A Single Doubt, cost $1,050 milion as a yearling and was looked on as a top 3YO prospect after his last start win in the G3 Ken Russell  Classic at the Gold Coast for the Peter and Paul Snowden stable.

It was the third win in seven starts for a syndicate managed by agent James Harron.
