Looks a good betting day at Eagle Farm with a few in-form gallopers finding races to suit later in the program.
The best looks to be the consistent Trevelyan, who brings well-franked form lines into the Canadian Club 0-75 Handicap over 1835m.
The lightly-raced but progressive four-year-old has been in fine form this campaign putting together a win and four placings from his past five starts around some good opposition.
He beat subsequent city winner Red Chase to score a fast finishing win over a mile at this course three back and has found the line well to run second at his past two starts here behind highly-rated gallopers Looks Like Elvis and Reckless Choice, two of the main fancies for today's open-grade feature.
None of his rivals looks to be in that league and apprentice Stephanie Thornton should be able to secure him the right run from a low draw, her claim also seeing the gelding attractively weighted.
The one box Trevelyan has yet to tick is the 1835m journey but he has been finding the line like a horse that will appreciate a step up in trip and looks too strong for these.
Ratings also point to the capable Enterprise Prince as tough to topple in the following event, the Coca Cola No Metro Wins Handicap over 1400m.
An entire still early in his career, Enterprise Prince is making good strides this campaign and is unlucky not to have a hat trick of wins next to his name.
He saluted back-to-back at Ipswich and Sunshine Coast then was luckless in a harder race than this at Doomben last week where he was held up for much of the straight.
When clear he ran on well for a 1.4 length third, returning figures that should see him with the wood on this field.
Enterprise Prince has to back up in seven days but gets Brad Stewart back aboard, a jockey who has won two of three rides on the four-year-old, and the pair look a good bet.
