2019 FLIGHT STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Only a small field faces the starter in this year's Group 1 Flight Stakes with two principle chances. As expected it looks a very tactical affair.
FUNSTAR (1) did plenty wrong in the Tea Rose Stakes, but still managed to get away with the win (albeit narrowly). Always felt she would be at her best at a mile and possibly beyond. The small field makes it tricky, however she has the best turn of foot and remains the one to beat.
PROBABEEL (2) relished the solidly run 1400m last start when really launching late. Unlikely to get a similar tempo here which is a concern, however she too should be at her peak and looms as the only danger. ST COVET'S SPIRIT (4) and FOXBOROUGH (5) the next best, but doubt they see which way the first two went.
