Deprive came from last to rattle home and then survive a protest.

Winning Trainer: James Cummings

On the race. There are two quality horses up on a strong tempo. This horse is going really well."

"He was the gallop partner for our Everest runner Alizee last week. He's undefeated at Randwick. He's lowered the colours of some good quality horses there."

Winning Jockey: Hugh Bowman

On the run: "I let it all unfold in front of me but I had the horse to do that. He actually threw his head to the side. I didn't come out on terms. He was going to settle back there anyway but he might have been a bit closer in the run. Let's hope it is a bit of deja vu in 40 minutes.

On the track: "He's unbeaten here but I'd like to give a bit of credit to Nevesh and the team here at Randwick. The way this track has been prepared for this afternoon it's absolutely outstanding."

Beaten Jockeys:

Tommy Berry (Brutal): "It was a beautiful run. He sprinted very well for me from the top of the straight but he plateaued out at the 100m then held that all the way to the line. In two weeks time he's spot on. They just had a bit more turn of foot than him with him being second-up."

Glyn Schofield (Home Of The Brave): "Brave run again. Obviously he likes a bit of cut in the ground which was not here today but another brave run."

Kerrin McEvoy (Brave Song): "He never got clear. He would have run really well if I was able to get him off the bridle."

Brenton Avdulla (Dothraki): "He bled both nostrils."

Robbie Dolan (Easy Eddie): "He ran really well. He's obviously more effective on a heavy track but he gave a good account of himself against pretty strong opposition."

Michelle Payne (Kaspersky): No comment.

Tim Clark (Redouble): "He ran well in that grade. Looking for a little bit further now."

Glen Boss (Jonker): "He drew one and was interfered with a couple of times then didn't have a lot of luck down the straight."

Josh Parr (Sir Plush): "The change of tactics didn't work today."

Christian Reith (Sandbar): "I was really happy with him today. He drew awkward and was caught off the track. He's come back really well, his breathing is a lot better since the operation. He just emptied out in the last 100m and he'll improve immensely on that."

Nash Rawiller (Champagne Cuddles): No comment.

James McDonald (Fiesta): "I was wrapped with her, she finished off really nicely. She just got held up a little bit, but good."
