2019 SANDOWN STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Gold Fields shapes as the leader and he should set an even tempo. WIDGEE TURF (1) finds the right race. Skipped last week where the inside barrier may have played against. No issue finding running room in the small field around Sandown. He was terrific at the Valley last time and is generally a very reliable horse at a level that wins this.
WILLIAM THOMAS (5) proved himself up to 1400m last time. Another 100m to get now but think Sandown suits and his pace makes him a key hope. The best of MUSIC BAY (4) is very competitive and she should run well. GOLD FIELDS (2) and MANOLO BLAHNIQ (3) have fringe hopes.
