Map is very speculative here with no obvious leader off the race day form. HANSEATIC (2) showed a neat turn of foot to win the Merson Cooper on debut and has a great profile having been put straight away to target the Blue Diamond series. Clearly very talented and he looks to have come back in great order based on a winning jump out last week.
TANKER (1) ran good time when winning on debut here and then stacked up well in a very hot race up in Sydney before a break. He's a key threat.
YULONG PROGRESS (3) and TOSCANINI (7) will need to improve but every reason to think that both will do just that off solid debuts. Of the newcomers FIXATED (8) showed good talent at the jump outs and it would be no shock to see him measure right up.
