2020 PHAR LAP STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Easily one of the main highlights of the afternoon with the highly anticipated rematch of Funstar and Probabeel. Strange to see them not in the Coolmore, but obviously have bigger fish to fry down the track. Just an even tempo anticipated.
FUNSTAR (6) went down in the Surround Stakes, but it was only a narrow margin and she conceded a key fitness edge to Probabeel. Sure to strip fitter and appears set to relish the step up in trip. Has more to offer and should turn the tables.
PROBABEEL (5) has the measure of the former in the Surround, just query whether she has any more improvement to come. Nonetheless she still should run very well. SPEND (2) sets up well on the quick back up, following a handy win at Flemington last weekend, while KUBRICK (1) can also improve sharply.
