Good competitive affair at the top end with impressive last start winners Master Of Wine/Mustajeer set to clash. Just an even tempo anticipated, nine runners are up 400m or more.
MUSTAJEER (9) peaked late in the Parramatta Cup, but had the race won a long way out. Wasn't marked far off his peak there and suspect he can improve further second up. McEvoy takes over and he gets every chance at the weights. No knock on MASTER OF WINE (10), he has been most impressive since the blinkers went on. Yet to beat anything, but don't want to tie him down by that too much. Airborne and looms as a major threat.
LIFE LESS ORDINARY (6) closed off well in the Chipping Norton Stakes and has to be respected back in this grade. LUVALUVA (13) the next in line.
