Winning Trainer: Tom Dabernig & Ben Hayes (Ben speaking)

"He (Oliver) did a great job. I wasn't expecting him to be that far back today but Oli went to Plan B when he jumped slow. He was three-wide the trip, had no favours. Luckily Cassius brought him into the race nicely and he was too strong late.

"It was really good to see him strong late. He's a horse that we've always had a lot of time for and it is good to see him finish off today.

"In all his races he's always been a bit keen. I think Oli did a good job today. No favours and he was still able to win - a sign of a nice horse progressing through the grades."

At the mile: "He's a horse that will have to improve his race behaviour but I think we'll be able to get him out over further this trip (prep). He's normally ridden more up on the pace but when he missed the start, 'Plan B', he ran well. Oli might have found something new."

Quinn family ownership: "They have shares in a few others but in this one they have 100 per-cent. They'll be very happy. Well done, guys. Thought he'd win today, so well done.

Ben had back it: "I was very confident. It was very nice. The trainers don't often get it right, so it is good to get one right occasionally."

Winning Jockey: Damien Oliver

"I thought there was good pace so I just dropped him in. He's shown promise early, raced well today and something similar like this suits."
