Winning Trainer: Chris Waller (Jo Taylor speaking)

"It's a Group 1 for Yulong and Mr Zhang and it's just fantastic to get that on the board."

Mr Zhang investing so much money in racing: "He's a big supporter of ours, not just us, but racing in Australia. They're deserving of these big results."

Chris Waller's record - 13th Group 1 during Cup week: "You can't say enough about Chris Waller and the way he manages these horses and their careers. He's certainly a cut above the rest."

Celebrate with the staff: "I think we will, especially after the carnival. Tonight we've still got important days coming along and tomorrow will still be an important day of trackwork. Tonight won't be too big, but after the carnival, it is difficult with the COVID restrictions, even if it's just a stable celebration. We've got a fantastic team around the country, but over here I can't say enough about the people I work with and how hard they work behind the scenes.

"It pays on race day, doesn't it."

Winning Jockey: Damian Lane

"First two runs this prep were brilliant and he was really looking like he was peaking third-up to 1600 (metres) and he did today.

Tempo: "It worked out good. He didn't step that great so from there I did need some tempo and with the nice tracking he really let rip off that tempo. I got to the front quite early, too, and I could hear Oli's yelling. His very distinctive voice coming from behind.

"Normally once you hear it he gets you but it was good that he (Yulong Prince) knuckled down and fought it out for the win. I got a rare one up on him there.

"I'm thrilled to get that win for Chris Waller and the team. Jo Taylor, who works with the horses here, I do a bit of work with the team. It's good to get these up."

Beaten Jockeys:

James McDonald on Olmedo: "He's returned well. He'll knock off a nice one."

Glen Boss on King's Legacy: "He went terrific. He's taken a bit to get used to this way of going, but he sort of lost it from the 600 (metres) to the 400 and was going nowhere, but once he got on an even keel he whipped home strong. He was really good."

Kerrin McEvoy on Chief Ironside: "I had a trail in behind the speed. He presented, but then just felt the ground."

Jamie Kah on Mr Quickie: "Disappointing. I think when you set him too much of a task he doesn't really put in fully. When we got too far back, he didn't really do much late."

Daniel Moor on Age Of Chivalry: "Very brave."

Willie Pike on Wild Planet: "Midfield and an OK run."

Luke Nolen on The Velvet King: "Just an even run from him today."

John Allen on Fifty Stars: "He's run super. That should leave him spot on for next Saturday and the 2000 metres and he's probably looking for that now."

Ben Melham on Best Of Days: "He went ok"

Michael Poy on Rock: "Super run. Big support from the stable and thanks to them."

Craig Williams on Buffalo River: "he's big, bold and showing but on today's conditions there's no advantage for horses like him. It was a tougher race in the Toorak and he was made to feel vulnerab;e because there was no advantage for leading horses today."

Zac Spain on Streets Of Avalon: "A genuinely run mile and he just doesn't see it out."

Damien Oliver on Cascadian: "Great run. He really appreciated getting back to Flemington and he ran super.

Jye McNeil on I Am Superman: "I thought he stuck to his guns nicely. He just probably struggled with the strong pace and it took a bit of shine off the finish."

Jordan Childs on Nonconformist: "I thought he ran well. Probably just the tempo off the gate, up to a mile today he was probably out of his comfort zone. I thought he maintained a good gallop to the line and he's on track for a good autumn."
