Winning Trainer: Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr (Mick speaking)

Family ownership and giving advice: "Everyone else was barred. Just let me train the horse for a change."

"That was good. It was very good. Seeing him clear out and distinguish himself like that, too. Not sure how far we'd go into the summer but you'd like to advantage of his benchmark rating at the moment and make him an open handicapper and win these sorts of races without getting carried away.

"That's what I'd like to do this prep and miss the firmer tracks of summer and then have a well-qualified horse in the autumn. He might win a much better race.

"I'll take a punt on the track being ok at his next start somewhere. I've got plenty of horse there. He's thriving in himself so it depends on what's in the calendar but I think there'll be a plan without wanting to go to much into summer."

The wind: "(Oli) did say to me that he was a bit concerned about the wind so there was good pace on, he tucked in and it worked out beautiful on this beautiful big track, too. It's a pleasure to come to these track especially when there is a bit of give in it too. Whoever prepared it has done a good job."

Winning Jockey: Damien Oliver

"He certainly got to a track that he appreciated. Kilmore wasn't a suitable one the other day and he's a horse that you appreciate getting back to a bigger track.

"Mick is good, he never gives you too many instructions. He leaves it to you but I'm sure he wouldn't be short on advice."

On the wind: "It has got quite strong out there in the matter of a race. The previous race there was no wind and it's really strong out there now. You can feel it blowing them about a little bit."

"Even when you hit the turn you felt it hit them from the side, too. Probably something we'll need to keep on eye on."
