Winning Trainer: Tony & Calvin McEvoy (Calvin speaking)

"It was fantastic. He just over-travelled a little bit with the blinkers still. He's still very new to the racing game and everything he does, you could see when he came into the straight and tried to quicken, with his big action he went right up in the air.

"Credit to the team. He's been trained from Flemington here and he's only been going to Ballarat for his last couple of gallops up the hill. A bit of a mix between the two places there.

"Third-up, up in trip, blinkers on, it was fantastic."

Future: "Darren Thomas, Tony and myself, we've had a long range plan of getting this horse to the Adelaide Cup. That's what we think of him. We're working our way back from there and spacing his runs. He'll got to the Torney Night Cup at Moonee Valley.

"Just great to see him bounce back. He was a bit disappointing last start but it was great to see him bounce back today."

Winning Jockey: Jye McNeil

"He is (progressive). I think there is going to be plenty of upside to this guy. He's still very immature and he paraded a little bit hot. But got to give him the benefit of the doubt with the blinkers going on the first time.

"In the run, horses were travelling past him and he was just wanting to go a bit keen in those stages, so once he puts it all together he's going to make a nice stayer."

Key to progression from now: "I think just natural progression will take this horse a long way and I thought it was a fantastic move by the team putting the blinkers on because it was a much better performance by him today. The future is bright for him."
