Tuesday Set For Winning Return

3 minute read

The Michael Clements trained Tuesday appears well placed to make a winning return when due to line up at Kranji on Saturday.

Set to contest the third event, Tuesday returns from a three month break, having displayed above average ability in his maiden preparation.

An impressive winner on debut, Tuesday only went down narrowly at his second start, before he had clear excuses at his last start prior to a break.

Seen just once at the trials, Tuesday couldn't have been more impressive under Beuzelin when coasting to the line to score by 5L.

Under a throttle hold the whole way, Tuesday looks to be back in great order and should enjoy a lovely run from the middle of the line.

The winkers come off and Van Der Merwe takes over, having already ridden the three-year-old previously.

Far from the finished product, Tuesday was fairly green last preparation, though with natural improvement, he should continue to improve his race craft.

Three last start winners line up against Tuesday, though he looks to have them all covered on talent.

Expected to press forward from the outset, Tuesday should prove very hard to beat.

The Mark Walker trained I Am Sacred shapes as the main danger having only gone narrowly first up.

Attempting to lead throughout, he was only nailed right on the line and is open to good improvement second up.

A winner of two of his eight starts, he has also placed on a further three occasions and looks well placed with the aid of the claim.

The wide draw is the obvious hindrance, but if able to get across, he should be in this for a long way.

Last start winner Sky Eye has to make the jump from Class 5 company, but did it well last start and has since trialled well in the lead up.

Only lightly raced, he still remains open to further improvement and should get his chance down in the weights.

Of the rest fellow last start winner Wealth Elite also has to be included.

He notably beat I Am Sacred last start and while rising 2.5kg at the weights, he still has to be respected.

Expect him to drop back from the wide draw, before making his run in the straight.

Good luck and happy punting.
