2021 SURROUND STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Genuine tempo with La Mexicana to lead with plenty of pressure drawn both inside and out. They should all get their chance.
NEVER TALK (7) was clearly the run of the race in the Light Fingers with sectionals suggesting she is every hope of getting the 1400m. Sure to relish the conditions and should appreciate the strong tempo. On the up and looks hard to beat. LA MEXICANA (9) brings different form which is a big tick and she is also expected to be prominent from the outset. Handles all conditions and a big tick with Marquand on board.
DAME GISELLE (3) loomed up to win first up, but just failed to finish it off. Would be much better suited on top of the ground, but can still run well. MONTEFILIA (1) will be better over further, but still has to be kept safe in her return.
