Winning Trainer: Daniel Bowman

"Big thanks to the breeders, Darren Dance, for backing me in and getting most of this horse done (sold) for me and I put a few of my other owners in. My old man is in this one so he's not a curse anymore.

Were they expecting this today: "We probably shouldn't have gone to Caulfield last prep. She was feeling her legs and felt the ground. We picked this race out a long way out to kick off in and head to Adelaide. She'd improved a lot and I knew that she was getting rated off her sprint form and not what (how) she'd improved.

"She was trialling well at home and I thought she could run a nice fourth or fifth and I'd be happy. D Lane, great ride. He committed to the ride when I asked him and he was happy to jump on and ignore the form and ride the horse for what it was.

"She always has (shown something). Early she had a bit of immaturity, growing pains. Her mother was a Group 2 winner down the straight and she showed that she likes the straight too so if gives a lot of options going forward."

Winning Jockey: Damian Lane

"She was great. She's obviously a young progressive type that Daniel had a good opinion of to send to this race.

"I got mopped up by Alleboom early which put me on the back foot. But it didn't matter because I had two good horses to follow in The Bopper and Bella Nipotina. Bella Nipotina took me everywhere I needed to go and she was good late.

"I've known Daniel for a number of years now. He's a great young trainer and he's really making a name for himself. Really happy for him."
